Hayes, Margaret - Few newcomers to the screen can match the beauty of redhaired Margaret Hayes who came to Hollywood from the Broadway stage and modelling for leading artists as Dana Dale and whose name was immediately changed by Paramount. Miss Hayes gets her biggest role to date as the secretary to a make-believe movie director in "Sullivan's Travels." Her role was written for her by Preston Sturges who also directed. In it, she is the best-dressed secretary in the world, wearing specially designed gowns which outdo the feminine star's. This is because the girl star, Veronica Lake, plays a poor extra girl with one evening gown, who does most of her scenes dressed like a boy hobo.
