ebay template Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. This vintage photograph is offered for sale as a collectible item and conveys no transfer of copyright. 1954 Press Photo Host Ed Sullivan with John Hvasta on "Toast of the Town" This is an original press photo. New York - Escapee from a Czechoslovakian jail John Hvasta gets his first look at a television camera, with Ed Sullivan pointing out its features February 7. Hvasta was preparing to appear on Sullivan's "Toast of the Town" program shortly afterwards. It was revealed during the day that the family of Hvasta, in Hillside, New Jersey, knew more than four months ago that he was safe in the U.S. Embassy in Prague, after escaping from a Communist Jail and hiding out in Czechoslovakia for nearly two years.Photo measures 9 x 7inches. Photo is dated 02-07-1954. PHOTO FRONT PHOTO BACK Historic Images Part Number: tux11305 FAQs Q: Can I just download a digital version instead? A: No, we sell only vintage originals and do not make or distribute any copies, including digital ones. Q: Do you combine shipping and invoices? A: Multiple photos won on the same seller ID combine automatically through the eBay checkout process. If you encounter problems with this, send us a message via eBay messaging and we will send you an invoice. Due to eBay limitations, we cannot combine items won on our different seller IDs for a single shipping charge. Q: How quickly do you ship the items once paid? A: We ship within one business day after your payment clears. If you do not receive an "order shipped" email from us by the close of the second business day from submitting payment, please e-mail us via eBay messaging. Q: How do you make sure my photograph arrives safely? A: We package each order between two cross-corrugated pieces of cardboard to ensure that the package is as difficult to bend as possible. We then wrap each order in a plastic sheet to help protect against moisture. We want you to rest assured that we take every precaution to ensure that the photograph you receive will be in the same condition in your care as it was in ours. Q: Will the "Historic Images" watermark be on my photo when I receive it? A: No. This is a digital watermark we use to protect our images. It is not printed on the photo. Q: What are your office hours? A: eBay for us is a business, and a very fun one to be in! We are open M-F 9 to 5 (CST). Therefore, we do not return e-mails and phone calls over the weekend. We observe the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Q: Where did all these vintage photos come from? A: These original vintage photographs are from various news service and newspaper photo archives from locations around the country including: Boston, Detroit, Tampa, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, New Orleans, Milwaukee, Portland, Spokane, and more. We do not copy or reproduce any photographs -- every item is a unique vintage piece that was housed in a news archive. Q: Can I use this photograph in my book/blog/website? A: The short answer is no. There is no transfer of copyright for republication or reproduction with these photographs when you purchase them, and only photographs taken before 1923 are currently automatically in the public domain. Permission from the copyright holder, which usually can be identified from the back of each photo, must be sought to republish or reproduce the image for any purpose. Q: Do you relist items (in case I miss an auction ending)? A: Auction items that receive no bids are relisted in our store (historicimages-store on eBay) as a fixed-price item and at a higher price than the starting auction price. Q: Do you leave feedback? A: Yes, we always leave feedback for buyers. Our software monitors when our buyers leave us feedback, then notifies us that we can leave feedback for the buyer. Rest assured, if you leave feedback, we will do the same! Item as described, good contact, superb packaging, superfast Int. delivery!! Item was dispatched by seller the day after purchase (hence the "superfast" comment), although USPS took almost a month to deliver it. From 11th April to 8th May the package made its way through various USPS centres in the USA, sometimes twice, before it left the country :) It arrived in the UK on 9th May and was delivered the same day.

This A++++ seller always delivers a valued treasure with reasonable prices. My item was exactly as described, packaged expertly and item arrived in perfect condition. I bought two items, and they combined shipping into one packaged and reduced the cost of shipping from two items to one. I have bought many keepsakes from Historic Images, and I have never had a bad experience.
