In the item description, it did not say the side piece does not actually stay on like it's supposed to. My son is definitely disappointed that it doesn't stay on. However, this slambulance was the most reasonably priced one I could find as I had searched everywhere. Shipping packaging was great and it arrived earlier than expected!
