Die 20-jährige Sängerin wird auch mit ihrem dritten Studioalbum wieder die Massen verzaubern. Und sie wird mit jeder Platte noch ein Stück besser. Nach dem gesprochenen Intro von Vinnie Jones zeigt sie gleich mit dem Titel "Girl They Won't Believe It" über welche einzigartige Klasse sie verfügt. Stilistisch könnte die Abwechslung kaum größer sein. Die Mixtur aus Soul, R&B, HipHop und klassischem Motown-Girlgroup-Sound funktioniert von der ersten Nummer an perfekt. Eingespielt wurden die 13 Songs mit einer Live-Band unter der Leitung von Raphael Saadiq. Eine Entscheidung, die man nur begrüßen kann, denn dadurch klingt die Platte von der ersten bis zur letzten Sekunde absolut frisch und lebendig. Einem Song wie "Music", entstanden in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Songwriter und Produzenten Novel, einem Enkel der Soul-Legende Solomon Burke, bei dem Joss Stone zudem von Lauryn Hill unterstützt wird, darf man schon jetzt Klassikerstatus attestieren, ohne sich zu weit aus dem Fenster zu lehnen. Nicht anders verhält es sich mit Nummern wie dem mit einem HipHop-Beat unterlegten "Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now", bei dem Rapper Common ein paar Zeilen beisteuert, oder dem mit reichlich Geigenschmalz ummantelten Soul-Ballade "What Were We Thinking", einer gelungen Verbeugung vor den Soul-Bands der Motown-Ära. Mit Introducing Joss Stone hat sich die Sängerin noch einmal deutlich gesteigert und allen Kritikern, die nach den ersten beiden Alben The Soul Sessions und Mind, Body & Soul bereits eine Stagnation befürchteten, gezeigt, das bei ihr noch lange kein Ende der musikalischen Entwicklung in Sicht ist. Mit 20 Jahren stehen Joss Stone alle Türen offen. The seller packaged the Blu-ray/DVD/CD box set with care in appropriate cardboard mailers to prevent damage to the box set cover and the discs and shipped the package expeditiously.
