communication was poor and seller seemed rude. turns out the multiple items discount doesn't apply if you make offers which get accepted. also when i asked if the combined postage amount was correct the seller replied "Hi, yes it is. If you pay full price a larger postage discount is applied, but as you sent offers that is what Australia post calculated. Thanks" so it's actually better not to make offers. would've been nice to have that info at the start.

After sending an offer for this item, I received a better offer from another seller and took that one. Apologised to this seller and they were understanding and cancelled the order promptly. Highly recommended seller!
