Description

This is a cute retro ceramic cake plate and matching server. The set was made in Japan in the 1960s or 1970s. The square swooping design of the plate is like a sushi plate. The bright orange, yellow, and brown colors pop against the white background. Just think how great a chocolate cake would look on it! The ceramic plate is in good condition, with some age appropriate wear. There are a couple of small chips of glaze on the edges. The plate is slightly wobbly, but I think that is because of the swooping design. You could put rubber button protectors on the bottom if it really bothered you. The server is in good condition, but has 3 spots underneath that look like the glaze has rubbed off (see the last picture.) The cake plate measures 10.25" square. The server is 9.375" long X 2.5" wide.
