Item: I think Iris Apfel would have loved this necklace. Vintage Mid Century Organic Huge Orange Resin Copal Pressed Amber Bakelite Look Disk Statement Necklace. I've tested this for bakelite and it's not that. I do get a faint pine resin smell when I prick the inside of a bead with a hot pin. Light fluorescing is occurring in the mottling in the flat disk beads when UV lit. Your guess is as good as mine :) I'm thinking pressed amber. The style could fall into the 1930s Art Deco Period or the Mid Century Modern Period. Measurements: Approximately 21 inches long. That large disk in the centre is 2 & 1/8th inches across. This weighs 128 grams. Condition: Vintage previously owned. There are only very minor signs of age/use/patina. Please see our other listings we combine shipping for savings.
